Dr Akira Singh is a friendly and dedicated physician who loves her job and meeting new people. She graduated at the top of her class, cum laude, at the University of KwaZulu Natal in 2005. Her love for clinical bedside medicine led her to specialize in Internal Medicine and she achieved her Fellowship with the Colleges of Medicine South Africa as a Specialist Physician in 2014 and then a Master’s degree in Medicine in 2017.

 

Dr. Singh then worked as a Consultant at a major academic and training hospital in the public health care sector for 5 years. Here she taught and lectured students, was engaged in medical research, ran specialized clinics and served underprivileged indigent communities.

 

In 2020 she moved to Cape Town and has been a resident physician at the Mediclinic in the City Bowl for the last 4 years.
